When I published my last post, I added a few links at the bottom. One of those links found here states that the response they received from Pinterest is this:
It is highly unlikely that we will be sued for copyright infringement because we are covered by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. That means if there’s a complaint, Pinterest takes the image down. And so far they’ve not had very many complaints. So, do I keep it or cut it?
I think I’ll stay on the safe side and delete it. I don’t want to be one of those people who get a postcard in the mail telling me that if I respond to their letter, there will be a huge lawsuit and you might profit from the settlement.
“Highly Unlikely” isn’t good enough for me.
I think I’ll pass.
